World Construction The Cathedral of Cologne 贾枫 Cologne Cathedral is a World Heritage Site, being one of the best-known architectural monuments in Germany, and it’s most famous landmark, described by UNESCO（联合国科教文组织） as an exceptional work of human creative genius. Cologne Cathedral is one of the worlds largest churches, being the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe. For four years, it was the tallest structure in the world, until the completion of the Washington Monument. Cologne Cathedral, despite having been left incomplete during the medieval period, eventually became unified as a masterpiece of exceptional intrinsic value and a powerful testimony to the strength and persistence of Christian belief in medieval and modern Europe, as was befitting a worship-place of the Holy Roman Emperor and the traditional shrine of the Three Kings. Space Needle 贺继斌 The Space Needle is a tower in Seattle（西雅图）, Washington. It is a major landmark of the Pacific Northwest region of the United States and the symbol of Seattle. Located in Seattle Center, it was built for the 1962 Worlds Fair, during which time nearly 20,000 people a day used the elevators — 2.3 million visitors in all for the World Fair. When it was completed it was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River（密西西比河）. It is built to withstand winds of up to 200 mph (320 km/h) and earthquakes up to 9.5 magnitude and has 25 lightning rods on the roof to prevent lightning damage. Countless premiers by Vienna Philarmonic Orchestra and world wide known masters has taken place in the Golden Hall.
