With the increase of macroeconomic aggregates brought by the development of transport, the construction of its size, speed and level of development in turn depends on the development of national economy, while the development of the national economy in turn has a very important influence. Both reinforce each other, promote each other and influence each other. Depending on the status and history of transportation, this paper summed up the status and the role of transportation in the national economy, and identified the problems of transportation. Combining of micro-data (passenger, cargo, cargo turnover and GDP), transport coefficient of elasticity and intensity of freight, analyze the relationship between transportation and economic development. This paper tries to combine the general grasp with emphasis analysis, qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, and make full use of the rich and detailed information and basic data for research.
