教材例句讲考点 首页 目录 尾页 第一部分 教材知识梳理 八年级（下） Units 7-8 教材例句讲考点 考点一 population 的用法 考点二 辨析achieve, realize与come true 考点三 weigh的用法 教材例句讲考点 population 的用法 China has the biggest population in the world. 中国是世界上人口最多的国家。（Unit 7 P50） 考向1：population常与定冠词the连用。作主语时,谓语动词常用第三人称单数形式。如: The population of the city is increasing faster and faster. 这个城市的人口增长得越来越快了。 考点精讲 考点一 考向2：询问某国、某地有多少人口时, 用“What is the population of+地点?=How many people are there in+地点？”。如: What is the population of Canada? 加拿大的人口有多少? 考向3：表示人口的“多”或“少”,要用“large”或“small”。如: India has a large population. 印度人口众多。 辨析achieve, realize与come true The spirit of these climbers shows us that we should never give up trying to achieve our dreams. 这些登山者的精神向我们表明：我们绝不应该放弃努力实现我们的梦想。（Unit 7 P51） ◆achieve及物动词,意为“实现，取得”,有被动语态。主语为人。如: He achieved his goal by peaceful means. 他通过和平手段达到了他的目的。 考点二 考向4：当主语是表示“人口的百分之几、几分之几”时,谓语动词用复数形式。如: About seventy percent of the population in our school are girls. 我们学校大约百分之七十的学生是女生。 考向5：population表示整体人口时,谓语动词常用单数形式；表示部分人口时,谓语动词常用复数形式。如: The population of that village is about 2,000, and nearly half of the population are the old.那个村庄的人口大约是2 000人,并且几乎一半的人都是老年人。 ◆realize实现；意识到,多指意识到某种道理、规律。主语可以是人,也可以是物。主语为物时,常用于被动语态。如: Tom has already realized his mistake.汤姆已经意识到他的错误了。 Her wish to become a movie star was finally realized.她当电影明星的愿望终于实现了。 ◆come true不及物动词词组,意为“实现,达到”,多指梦想、蓝图和计划等,无被动语态。主语常为物。如: His dream of becoming a teacher came true. 他当一名教师的梦想实现了。 注意:实现某人的梦想也可以用realize ones dream。 【考点冲关】 1.
