Methods T he arin rared thermal gr aphs o 100 nor mal indiv iduals and 66 patients w ith LDH w ere used or a comparative study. Results T he skin temperatures o lumbosacr al and bilater al low er extremities o normal persons w ere homog eneous, and the temperatur e di er ence o corresponding poits on bot h sides w as less than 0 . 2 deg ree C . T he temperature o r homboid ossa o in er ior lumbar in patients in creased and w as 0. 6 deg ree C to 2. 6 degr ee C mor e than that o normal temperature, w ith an average o 1. 2 degree C to 0. 4 degree C. T he ther mal r eg ion o 30 cases w er e closed to a ected part . T he temperature o a ected part o the patient w as 0 . 3 deg ree C to 0. 6 degree C lo w er t han that o normal part , w ith an av erage o 0 . 4 degree C. T he diameter ratio betw een a ected part and normal part w as more than 1.
