Over the years, the wolfberry aphid has been used as an unnamed species, Aphis sp. In 2015, we collected aphid samples from 25 places in Ningxia. They were identified by Prof. Qiao Gexia from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and confirmed as 3 common aphid species: Aphis gossypii Glover, Myzus persicae (Sulzer) and Aphis craccivora Koch. A key to them as well as their brief morphological characteristics, host plants and distribution are given.
