Leng Yun (1915-1938) 在美丽的牡丹江畔，矗立着一座大型的群雕----“八女投江”，它向我们讲述着抗日战争时期，发生在牡丹江地区乌斯浑河畔，八位抗联女战士在抗击日本鬼子的战斗中，为掩护大部队的转移，在弹尽粮绝的情况下，投江殉国的壮烈故事。 Standing on the beautiful bank of Mudanjiang is a large-scale stone carving----“Eight Women Jumping Into Mudanjiang”, and it tells us a heroic story which happened during Anti-Japanese War in the Wusihunhe bank in the areas of Mudanjiang: when resisting against Japanese devil, for screening the move of the main force, the Eight Women in the Combined Force Of Resisting Against Japan jumped into Mudanjiang after they had run out of ammunition and food supplies ,and sacrificed their lives for our country. 这次战斗的指挥者、组织者就是中国共产党的优秀女儿、中华民族的骄傲、东北抗日联军第五军妇女团指导员冷云同志。 The leader and organizer is the outstanding daughter of Chinese Communist Party, the pride of our nation, the political instructor in the Women Regiment of the Fifth army of the Northeast Combined Force of Resisting Japan---- Comrade Leng Yun. （一） 冷云，原名郑志民，乳名郑香芝，1915年生于黑龙江省桦川县悦来镇。 Leng Yun, whose primitive name is Zheng Zhimin and infant name is Zheng Xiangzhi, was born in Yuelai Town of Huachuan County in Heilongjiang Province. 1925年冷云上学读书。 Leng Yun went to school in 1925. 1931年以优异的成绩入县立女子师范学校读书。 And she was admitted to Huachuang Girl’s Normal School of the county in 1931. 在学校学习期间，她每次考试成绩总是名列前茅。 She always came out in front in every examination during school. 受“五四”运动的影响，她立志要报国为民，遂改名为郑志民。 Influenced by May Forth Movement, she determined to dedicate her life to her country and the people in it and thus she changed her name to Zheng Zhimin . 就在这一年，发生了震惊中外的“九一八”事变。 And exactly at the same year, the Lugouqiao Incident which shocked China and foreign countries happened. 日本侵略者的铁蹄踏入我国东北大地，由于蒋介石的不抵抗政策，使东北的大好河山沦落敌手，三千万同胞遭日军铁蹄的蹂躏。 When the iron heels of the Japanese invaders stepped on the northeast of our country, the northeast land had fallen into the enemy hands and 30 million brothers and sisters had suffered devastation because of Jiang Jieshi’s no resistance policy. 此时，所在学校的一些进步师生义愤填膺,纷纷走上街头
