EDUCATION AND MANPOWER BUREAU CIRCULAR MEMORANDUM NO. 182/2006 ： From : Secretary for Education and Manpower To Heads of all Primary and Secondary Schools Ref. : EMB(SA) 3/61/88 V Date : 4 October 2006 “Greening for the Chest” Campaign 2006-2007 Summary The Community Chest of Hong Kong is organizing a Greening for the Chest Campaign to help improving the environment of Hong Kong and to raise funds for The Community Chest. Heads of schools are requested to encourage their teachers and students to give their support by organizing teams to participate in the Campaign. Details 2. The Greening for the Chest Campaign 2006-2007 will include the following activities- Fund Raising Activities (a) Clean for Charity (b) Charity Plant Sale [for Community Youth Club (CYC) member schools only] Competitions Slogan Competition [for both primary and secondary students] Details of these activities and the application forms provided by The Community Chest are attached. 3. CYC member schools preparing to join the “Clean for Charity” as combined teams under the name of CYC District Committees need not complete the application form. Details will be announced by the relevant CYC District Committees at a later stage. 4. Other schools interested in participating as individual teams in the activity of “Clean for Charity” are requested to complete and return the application form to the School Activities Unit by fax (2893 3747) or by mail to Room 1106, 11/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong on or before 31 October 2006 5.
