My age is seventeen. I was born and raised in Taipei. There are seven people in my family, including my grandmother, my aunt, my parents, my younger sister, my younger brother and myself. My parents both work in a trading company. My younger sister now goes to junior high school and my younger brother is an elementary school student. When I was a fourth grader in Guangfu elementary school, my parents sent me to an English cram school, which called “Sesame Street”; and it was my first formal contact with English. Since that day, I have studied English for 9 years. At first, I was so nervous and afraid of going to the cram school, but soon the enjoyment of learning English attracted me. I also found it was a very useful language because I can use English to communicate with others. As I loved English, I tried my best in studying it and always stood the first in my class. Besides, I have made up my mind to major in English when I grow up. Mr. Chyi-pin, who is now my high school English teacher, also teaches me English in the cram school. He is very enthusiastic in his teaching and teaches me much knowledge of English both in the cram and in the school. In addition, he is also a well-disposed person, if we students have problems in English, he will helps us to solve them. Owing to his help, I was able to get good grades in the JCEE and the GEPT English tests. Chyipin undoubtedly have a tremendous influence on me and I want to be such a good English teacher like him.
