Genghis Khans Mausoleum 工程硕士2011级 王小明 Genghis Khan was the great leader of Mongolians. At the end of 12th century, he united Mongolian tribes and challenged other powers to expand his huge Mongolian empire, which extended from South China to the Caspian Sea. Genghis Khans Mausoleum, rebuilt in 1954 ,located in Ordos city YiJinHuoLuoQi,The mausoleum includes three giant yurt halls , in which the Khan,his wife,his son and his generals are buried ,in memory of the great leader. There are four sacrifice ceremonies held annually to commemorate the great hero and leader of the Mongolian people. The ceremony, held on March 21st on lunar calendar grandly. After the ceremony, horse racing, archery and wrestling are held as entertainment. In the tourist area, there are many Special goods of Mongolian characteristics for selling, including clothing, arts and crafts, etc. You can enjoy the Mongolian dance In the night you can attend the bonfire party Thank you !
