Phosphorusformsandreleasingprocessinsurfacesediments fromDongchang LakeAbstractLakeeutrophicationis oneofthemostcommonenvironmentalproblemsfacedto mostlakesinourcountry.Phosphorusisnormallyconsideredtobethelimitingfactor ineutrophication.Inrecentyearsmeasureshavebeentakentoimproveandrecover waterquality,thesemeasuresincludereducingexogenousPhosphorusinput. But whentheexogenousPhosphorusiscontrolled,Phosphorusinthesedimentswouldbe releasedtothewaterundercertaincircumstances,delayingorevencanceloutthe measures,thus aggravatingthesituation.Therefore,thestudyisinsupportoftheNationalKeyWaterProjectand DongchangLakeinLiaochengcityistheresearchobject.UsingtheStandard MeasurementandTest(SMT)procedureofphosphorusformsinfreshwatersediment, which Ruban et.al developed in the framework of the European Committee forStandardization，the study Carried out a analysis of phosphorus speciation ofDongchangLakesurfacesediment.Thestudyexploredthemorphological characteristicsandthereleaseofpotentialofthesurfacesediments.Thestudy simulatedandstudiedtheregulationwhatpHandtemperatureinfluencedon phosphorusreleasedfromthesurfacesedimentsofDongchangLakebyexperiments. Thestudyshowsthat:UsingtheStandardMeasurementandTest(SMT),measurements were taken to determine various forms of phosphorus in the surface sediments fromDongchangLake.Themethodclassifiedphosphorusintothesekinds：Fe/Al-boundphosphorus(Fe/Al-P),Ca-boundphosphorus(Ca-P),inorganic-phosphorus(IP), organic-phosphorus (OP) and total phosphorus (TP). TP contents varied from428.67～933.95mg?kg-1 andtheaveragewas597.78mg?kg-1.TheTPcontentofDongchangLakesediments correspondedtootherlakesinChinais nothigh.ThesedimentsweredominatedbyIPandsecondarilybyOP.IPaccountedfor70.06%～91.08%,whenOPaccountedfor12.31%～26.40%ofTP.TheCa-PwasthemajorcomponentofIP.Fe/Al-PwasthesecondcomponentofIP.Judgingfrom thepercentageofvariousforms ofphosphorusintheTP:Ca-POPFe/Al-P.TheaverageFe/Al-PofDongchanglakesedimentsofwas35.22mg?kg-1.TheFe/Al-Pcontent waslowerthantheo
