Reading B: a balanced diet You went on a diet and lost over 20 pounds, but you’ve gained a lot of it back because you can’t stop eating foods you crave! Whatcan you do to stop cravings (渴望)? Once you’ve lost weight, the next step is keeping it off. Maintaining the new weight is sometimes harder than achieving it. Cravings are very normal, and the best way to control them is to develop a plan to stop it. Think of other situations that may test your resolve(决 心), such as going to parties or eating when stressed or bored. Plan how you will react in these situations so that you won’t succumb to(屈服 于 )the cravings. Another way to stop cravings: When you crave a certain type of food, replace it with a healthier option.
