Unit 6?Meet my family!
一、Content:Part B Let’s talk, Unit 6 (Meet My Family), PEP Book 3
二、Teaching aims:
1. Be able to understand and say the dialogue and the chant.
2. Be able to understand and use the sentences: “Is this your…? \ He (She) looks…\What’s your…?” correctly.
3. Be able to say job occupations correctly.
三、Main points:
Enable Ss to grasp the sentences: “Is this your…? \ He(She) looks…\What’s your…?” and use these sentences in real conditions correctly.
Difficulties: Enable Ss to understand the sentences of “They look young \ Are they…”
Teaching aids: computer, tape, paper
四、Teaching procedures:
1. Warm-up
Greeting: Divide the class into three groups and have a race.
Let’s do. Act like a teacher…
2. Preparation:
Ask Ss to act like the flower and the tree.
T: Look, This flower looks beautiful!
That tree looks big!
Then show them T’s family tree and meet T’s family.
3. Presentation\ Practice
Show a photo of T’s family member, describe him using “ He looks…” then let Ss guess “Who’s this boy?”, get them to say “Is this your…?”
Use the same way to learn “She looks…”
Show two photos of T’s family members describe them and make Ss understand the sentence “They look…” then let them guess using “Are they..?
Learn a chant and make new chant.
PPT: Help a boy to find his father, enable students to use “Is this your …?” “He looks…” in real conditions correctly.

a. Role- play
Let Ss act like Amy and introduce Amy’s family according to the dialogue.
b. Group work
Show their family trees, introduce their families.
e.g. This is my family tree, my family has__ members.

He\She likes_____
I love my family!
5. Homework:
According to yourself conditions, choose the homework.
