Stipabreviflora CommunityCharacteristicsandSpatial HeterogeneityofGrassland underDifferentGrazing SystemsAbstractAdynamicmonitoringofpopulationcharacteristicsunderdifferentrotational grazingtimeandgrazingsystemofStipabrevifloradesertsteppeecosystemwere investigatedduring2006-2010,whichrecordtheheight,coverageandthedensityofplant populationsinordertocalculatethecriticalvalue,forageinrotationalgrazingareaunder differentutilizationgrazingtimeanddifferentgrazingsystemwerecutontheground, driedandweighed.In2009to2010,selectedfordifferenttreatmentsandrepresentative sample,laiddynamicmonitoringplotsofplantheight,coverage,densityand other characteristicsofcommunityindicatorsofthenumberofdetailedinvestigationby mechanicalsamplingofplantspecieswithinplots,thenanalyzedofplantinterspecificrelationshipandnicheamongdifferenttreatmentsofthespeciesarea,andthemain spatialheterogeneityofplantpopulationswerestudiedsimultaneously.Meanwhilethe corresponding plotsfor0~10cm soil samplesweretakenbacktothelaboratoryfor routinedeterminationofsoilnutrientstoanalyzespatialdistributionofsoilnutrients underdifferenttreatmentsplotwhichsortbyDCAandtheCCAendmethodtostudythe relationshipamongplantspecies,soilnutrientsandplottreatments.Themainresults wereasfollows:Differenttimeinrotationalgrazingarea,Theheightofmainplantpopulationsin lategrazingareawerelowerinearlygrazingarea,thecoverageanddensityofStipa brevifloraweregreater;thecoverageanddensityofCleistogenessongoricawaslowerin lategrazingarea.Whileindifferentgrazingsystems,thecoverageanddensityofStipa breviflorawerecontinuousgrazingarearotationalgrazingareacontrolarea;whichof Cleistogenessongoricaforthenearlyequalbetweencontrolareaandrotationalgrazing areaandbothofwhichlargerthanthatincontinuousgrazingarea,coverageanddensity ofAlliumpolyrhizumshowedthatinthecontrolarearotationalgrazingareas continuousgrazingarea.Differenttimeinrotationalgrazingarea,thecommunityabovegroundbiomass showedmid-grazingarealategrazingareaearlygrazingarea.Indifferentgrazin
