单  元:Unit 4 Films and film events 板  块:Task 1 Thoughts on the design: Task是本单元的第六课时,是以听、说教学为主。听力训练应当着重培养学生听的策略、预测信息的能力和获取主要信息的能力;而说的目的是培养学生用英语传递信息与口头表达能力以及交际过程中的沟通能力和人际协调能力。所以,首先,学生先看题预测,然后在听的过程中获取信息,完成一个与电影相关的小测试;其次,学生根据本单元所获得的与电影相关的知识进行合作学习——编对话,从而完成交际任务。 Teaching aims: 1. After learning the listening strategy, the students will be able to predict some content about the listening material; 2. After listening, students will be able to complete the listening task; 3. After learning the speaking strategy, students will be able to make up a dialogue based on the given material. Teaching procedures: Step 1 Lead-in (PPT4—5) General introduction: The Task is divided into three steps and each step is preceded with a skills building activity. Through the three steps, you will learn how to complete a quiz, how to listen for emphasis and how to use information from more than one source. [Explanation] 开门见山讲明本课的组成和学习目标。 Step2 Prediction (PPT 6—7) Skills building 1 completing a quiz 1. What should you do when completing a quiz? 1) Before you fill in your answer, read the question a second time and be sure you understand what is being asked. 2) Write you answer in a complete sentence. You do not want the judge to misunderstand your answer because you have left out some words. 3) Read both the question and the answer again. Be sure that you have answered the whole question and that you have spelt everything correctly. [Explanation] 本步骤的设置主要是为传授给学生做小测试的方法和步骤。 Step 3 First listening (PPT8—9) 1. Ask the students to guess what questions will be asked in the radio program and what the answers will be. 2. Listen to the tape for the first time, answer Questions1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10.
