Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Warm-up:
1. Greetings.
2. Let’s chant:
Look at the cat, it is fat.
Look at the pig, it is big.
Look at the dog, it’s on the log.
Look at the duck, it’s in the truck.
Look at the bear, it’s on the pear. Oops!
Step 2 Presentation and practice.
Present “on”.
PPT shows a picture of the bear on the pear.
T: Look at the bear.
Ss: It’s on the pear.
Present the word “on”.
Present “Where is the…?” and “It’s on the …”.
T: It’s a naughty pear, he likes flying. Look, he is flying.
Where is the pear now?
Ss: It’s on the box.
3. Present “desk”.
Guessing game: Cover the picture and let Ss guess in pairs.
A: Where is the pear?
B: It’s on the…
PPT shows the picture: It’s on the desk.
Practice to read the new word.
4. Present the word: chair.
T: Put the …on the desk.
Put the … on the chair.
Oh, where’s the chair? It’s a chair.
Teach to read the word “chair”.
5. Present :under, in.
The naughty pear is flying.
T: Where is the pear?
Ss: It’s on the desk/ chair.
