From the empirical studies of construction industrγgrow由 in other countries，it could be concluded that tbe share of value-added of construction indus町， in Gross DomesticProduct (GDP) would be increased rapidly within the grow由phase of industrialization. But from 1996 the share in China has been kept about 5.5 percent ，which was lower than the average of other countries and even worse of decreasing. Besides，even aftermore 由an twenty years of reforming and development ，the construction indus町 tnChina is still in the lower return and efficiency line. The ratio of profit to gross outputvalue of construction is about half of that in the industria1 sector from 2002ω2006 . Theoverall labor productivity in terms of gross output value of construction is about one也írd of that in the industrial sector，and that in terms of value-added of constructionis merely one-fourth of that in the industrial sector. That construction industry is lowered in profits and productivity has indicated that there are problems in its production factors and configuration. Howωadjust 也e confi忽rration of production factors for construction industry in China becomes an important issue of research undernew circumstances of globalization，informatization and diversified market demands.This dissertation systematic sorts relevant theories about economic growth and industry evolution，and domestic and abroad research achievements relating to construction economy and industrial organizations ，trying to build connections between m饵roeconomic growth and micro organizational evolution.
