Ye Qisun borned in shanghai in1898,his father was an old-fashioned scholar . He got the Bachelor of Science degree from University of Chicago in 1920 . He got the Doctor of philosophy degree from Harvard University in 1923 . January 13,1977, he died with no one knew. In 1999,our country awarded “Two bombs and one satellite meritorious service medal” to 23 scientists.12 of them were his students ,another 2 of the rest were his student’s student. When he worked in Tsinghua University ,he employed many famous professors for his students. He also contributed to the victory of the war of resistance against Japan : His students and him made weapons for the the peasant army in North China during the war ,some of his students even wen to the front to help the army, including Xiong Dazhen,his favourite student. 熊大缜 Xiong was wronged and murdered by the army when he was helping them. As his teacher , Ye Qisun also been considered as a spy of the Kuomintang during the Cultural Revolution and prisoned twice. At time , he was tortured into insane; he was poor so he begged in the street; He was sick of Incontinence of urine , humback and legs dropsy. He starved to death in January 13,1977.
