Unit 15 We ‘re trying to save the manatees! 第一课时Section A 1a～2c一、【教学内容】 该部分分为两个模块：第一模块围绕Describing the animals这一话题展开思维（1a）、听力（1b）、口语（1c）训练；第二模块围绕We’re trying to save the manatees进行听力（2a-2b）、口语（2c）训练。 二、【教学目标】 （一）语言目标： 1. 能够使用初中英语常见的时态和语态（Present progressive tense, Present tense, Passive voice, Present perfect tense及“used to”+ infinitive）来表达自己的观点。如：We are trying to save the manatees. Manatees eat about 100 pounds of food a day. 2. 正确使用描述性形容词“gentle, furry, enormous, playful, noisy, shy, aggressive, gray, fast, spotted”等描述动物，如：They are kind of aggressive. What is that big, furry animal in the pond？ （二）情感目标： 通过了解动物的生存状况濒危，并能自己的探讨生活中的环境，培养爱好动物、保护环境的功德意识。 (三)策略目标 1．认知策略：通过小组讨论、开展调查和研究，明确在用中学、在交流中学习；通过归类法，简化学习过程，帮助记忆2．调控策略：提高录音跟读，提高语音、语调的正确率以及听的能力。 三、【教学重难点】 （一）重点词汇： furry, enormous, playful, aggressive, gray, spotted, chimpanzee, feed, manatee, kangaroo, cheetah, swamp, habitat, aquatic, underwater, weigh, vegetation, pound, polluted （二）重点句型 1. It was discovered that they were endangered. 四、【教学准备】 课件， 调查表格， 录音机五、【设计思路】 本课时从已学过的动物及形容词入手，围绕“What do the animals look like?”展开讨论，以旧识带出新知，呈现本课新词，进一步操练单词和句型，完成Section A 1a和1b的内容。然后安排一个“free talk”，继续巩固Section A 1a和1b, 并借此过渡到有关海牛（manatee）的描述。接着完成Section A 2a和2b的听力训练，并进行分角色扮演。最后设计一个调查活动，调查国宝大熊猫的生活习性。 六、【教学步骤】 Step I： Revision and Lead- in T: In the last unit, we’ve learned to talk about the things that we have done.
