摘 要 美国学者曾运用新经济增长理论对国家贫富差距作了调查，结果表明:妨碍 穷国赶上富国的原因主要是缺乏人才资本，即教育不发达。人才和知识的准备不 足。而教育教学作为人才培养的重要基地之一，肩负着时代的使命，这就决定了 它必须具有超前的培养意识，既为当今，也为未来。现代教育培养的人才不仅要 能保持、继承和光大本民族的优秀文化传统;而且要能够面向现代化，面向世界， 面向未来。双语教学也因之成了现代教育中倍受争议的热点。 是否有必要开展双语教学?我们又如何开展地理双语教学? 木文依据教育学、心理学的有关理论，探讨了双语教学的定义和由来、理论 和现状:阐述了地理双语教学的实验原则、设计和实施程序:明确了其评价内容 及评价方式。 实验结果表明了中学地理双语教学的可行性和必要性。 本文还列举了中学地理双语教学中存在的若干问题及相关建议，希望教育主 管部门与以关注。 本实验研究的现实意义在于它将有助于改革课程、改编教材、改进教学方法; 有助于提高教育质量。 关键词:中学地理/双语教学/研究 Summary SomeAmericanscholarsoncemadeasocialinvestigationaboutthedisparity betweenthepoorandtherichcountriesbyusingthetheoryoftheNewEconomic GroNvth.Itshowedthemainreasonwhythepoorcountriescouldntcatchupwiththe richcountrieswasalackoftalentpeople,thatis，theireducationwaslessdeveloped andtalentpeopleandpeoplesknowledgewereinadequate.However,education,as oneoftheimportantbasesthatbringuptalentpeopleshouldersitsmissionoftimes, whichhasdecidedthatitmusthaveaneducationalconsciousnessinadvancenotonly fornowadaysbutalsoforthefuture.Thetalentpeoplewhoaretrainedbymodern educationshouldretain,carryonandcarryforwardtheirnativesplendidcultural traditionsaswellasfacetomodernization,facetotheworldandfacetothefuture.As aresult,bilingualteachinghasbecomethedisputedfocusofmodemeducation. Butisitnecessarytocarryoutbilingualteaching?Andhowshallwedowith geographybilingualteaching? Inthisarticle,accordingtotherelativetheoriesofpedagogyandpsychology, thewriterhasinquiredintothedefinition,theorigin,thetheoryandthestatusquoof bilingualteaching;setforththeexperimentalrules,designsandtheprogramstocarry outandmadeclearthecontentsandwaysofevaluatingit.
