AbstractDynamicallyreconfigurabletechnologybasedonFPGAcanreconfigureinternal logicresourcesofFPGA,whichsucceedinswitching thelogicfunctionwithoutstopping thedevice.So,it’seasytomodifyorupdatefunctionsofsystembythistechnology, whichimprovetheflexibilityofthehardwaresystemdesignedwithFPGA.Besides, dynamicallyreconfigurabletechnologycanincreaseresourcesutilizationandlower powerconsumptionbymeansoftimedivisionmultiplexing.Withgreatadvantagesin systemfaulttolerance,aeronauticsandastronautics,evolvablehardware,multi-function instrumentandmanyotherfields,thistechnologyhavewideapplicationprospectsinthe future.Inviewofthis,ithasgreatvalueandpracticalsignificancetodoresearchon FPGAdynamic reconfigurationtechnologyand its application.WithanalyzingtheFPGAdynamicreconfiguretechnology’scurrentdevelopment andapplicationintheworld,thispaperhasdonemuchresearchonitsprincipleand implementationmethods,anddescribedtheirdifferencesofrealizationmethodbetween main FPGAmanufactures. Then, based on above,puttingforward acarrierboard solution with dynamicreconfigurationcapability,includingglobalorpartialreconfigurationinthe localandremotelydynamicreconfiguration;designedlocalandremotereconfiguration circuitswithdifferentconfiguremethod,likePlatformFlashPROM,BPIFlashand SystemACECFontheplatformofVirtex-5FPGAproducedbyXilinx.Carrierboard canbeextendedwithdifferentkindsoffunctionboardaccordingtoapplicationneeds, whichwillhavedynamicallyreconfigurationability.Thispromotetheflexibilityand generalityofdesign.Itcanmeetthegeneralrequirementsoftestapplication,suchas differenttypesofmissileandsatelliteordifferentstagesofsametype.Finally,doing experimentswithsimulatingpayloadsdatasources,toverifythedesign’sreasonableness andfeasibility.TheactualtestresultsshowthattheCarrierboardcanachieveglobaldynamically reconfigurationunderPlatformFlashPROM,BPIFlashandSystemACECFmode,or localdynamicallyreconfigurationin the debuggingJTAGmode.Besides,it canbe configuredbydatafiletransmittedthroughEthernet.Itcanbeseenth
