AbstractChinese individual measure word “ge” is one of the measure words that foreign students contact earliest. They still haven’t studied other measure word, so they thought this kind of measure word can replace the others. However, in the meaning and grammatical function field , this kind word still has its characteristic, it isn’t similar to other measure words. Therefore, it’s difficult to foreign students who begin studying Chinese language. And this is one of mistakes which Vietnamese students usually meet in using Chinese language. In Vietnamese language there is a kind of individual measure word, the name of that kind of word is “ cái”. Both of “ ge” and “ cái” is the kind of word which used frequently in Chinese and Vietnamese language. The meaning and grammatical function field of this word is similar to Chinese individual measure word “ ge”. However, there are still some differences between them. Recently, relation between China and Vietnam has been boost in economic, culture, social, policy etc.. So, learning Chinese language also has being developed in Vietnam.
