AbstractTheaerospacethin-walledbladepartsareusuallydesignedasfree-formsurface.Thesepartshavethetechnicalcharacteristicsofvariablecross-section,strongdistortion,easytodeformation.Thegeometricdeformationinthemulti-processmachiningofthesepartsisapttogenerate.Thequalityofmulti-axisCNCmachiningofthebladesplaysanimportantroleon theperformanceofaircraftengines.Howtofastandefficientlyinspectthebladesinsituofthemachinetoolshasbecomeoneofthevitaltechnicalproblemsinthefieldoftheaviationmanufacturing.Inthispaper,acertainaircraftenginebladeisstudiedasanexample.Themethodsandexperimentresearchonthein situinspection ofthe bladesurfaceareproposed andimplemented.Themainresearchcontentsareasfollows:Inthisstudy,themethodsofcontactmeasurement,non-contactmeasurementandcombinedmeasurementareintroduced.Somekeytechnologyproblemsonfree-formsurfaceinspectionareanalyzed,suchasmeasuringpointsplanningandmeasuringpathoptimization.Fortheproblemofmeasuringpointsplanningofthefree-formsurface,thebasicschemeon determiningthenumberofthemeasuringpointsispresentedandtwokindsofmeasuringpointsplanningmethodsbasedonthecurvatureinformationareproposed:thecurvaturedifferencemethodandlinearanglemethod.Fortheproblemofcontactingmeasuringpathoptimization,thecalculationmethodsofthedirectionvectorsoftheBsplinecurveandthedouble threeB spline surface are presented andthe measuringpathplanning method basedon thenormalvectorofthebladesurfaceisproposed.Thenecessityoftheinsitumeasurementaswellasitsadvantagesanddisadvantagesareintroducedinthispaper.Thebasicworkingprincipleofthegeneralinsitumeasurementsystemanditshardwarecomponentsarepresented.Themachiningexperimentsareconductedonthesinglebladeparts,whichincludethemachiningprocessingprogrammingandsimulation.Thecalibrationmethodandprocessof the probes are both studied. In the softwareenvironmentofthePowerINSPECTOMV,theinsitumeasuringprogramofthesinglebladepartsisprogrammed,andthecorrespondinginsitumeasuringexperimentsontheMikron machiningcenterareconducted.Theexperimentalres
