The concept of Smart Home gradually appeared in our views as people want their living environment more automated, more secure, more convenient, and more comfortable. However, the development of Smart Home is still in its infancy, so it is necessary to continue further research and development. This design of smart home system is divided into two parts, client and server. The client part achieves the communication with the USB_4716 multi-function module and serial port, and with a temperature and humidity measurement of single chip microcomputer to test the serial port communication. The client part uses a Point Grey camera to realize the video monitoring function. The client and server implement information interaction with the HTTP protocol. The server of the system is deployed on the Windows Azure web site, so we can visit the web site through the browser, so as to realize the remote control function of the system. The client is developed by the WPF framework under the Visual Studio 2010 development platform, the main development language is C sharp, the server uses the ASP.NET MVC4.0 framework and with Visual Studio 2013 preview for the development environment, the main language is C sharp. This system using the LPC1114 microcontroller design and implementation of a temperature and humidity measuring instrument, to facilitate users to monitorthe indoor temperature and humidity situations. Windows Azure cloud service is taken in the Smart Home system in this study, and this method advantages are discussed in this article too. This paper has a good reference in the research area of Smart Home, and it will promote the development of Smart Home in our country.
