AbstractWith the constantly rapid development of information industry and the Internet technology, information data is in a explosive growth and the data center is becoming increasingly important and complex, making the management of huge challenges. Under conditions of increasing information overload, that how to integrate the resources of the data center in order to improve the efficiency of the resource utilization and lower the total operating costs has become the most important factor to be considered when enterprises build and manage their data centers. Virtualization technology is the most effective way to solve the above problems.In this paper, some key technologies of virtualization are researched, based on which a prototype system respectively of server virtualization and desktop virtualization is realized. Server virtualization platform consists of virtualized server and remote management platform, where all kinds of operatings are realized in the server with open soruce virtualization project Xen and virtual machines of different operating systems can be built. Besides, each VM and the host are isolated from each other by SELinux thus to ensure the security. The remote management platform provides remote management of the server. Remote desktop delivery between authorized users and virtualized server can be realized by the desktop virtualization platform with the remote delivery protocol. Only the users through strict authentication and under authorized control can get the desktop image from the server. Finally, the application of virtualization technology in a gas station system is analyzed as an example to show the important practical role of server virtualization platform and desktop virtualization platform.Key words: data center, server virtualization, desktop virtualization, remote management platform, authentication目录第一章 绪论.............................................................................................................................
