Unit9 When was he born? 教材分析： 八年级上册第九单元When was he born? 的语言目标是谈论著名人物的简历，并再次学习一般过去时态的特殊疑问句。在巩固学习一般过去时态的过程中，学会谈论自己或崇拜的人物过去的成就。在这一过程中进一步提高学生的听说读写能力。 教学目标： 知识目标：掌握When , How long 引导的一般过去时的特殊疑问句； 掌握when 引导的时间状语从句与一般过去时态的联用； 掌握重点词汇born, start doing sth, stop doing sth, too…to… , national, gold, gold, become, call, talented, creative, outstanding, kind, unusual,grandson, skate, tour, violinist, pianist… 重点和难点：重点：1.词汇；2.When / How long 引导的特殊疑问句。 难点：如何引导学生熟练运用句型。 能力目标：能听懂听力材料；能用所学的一般过去时态的句子谈论自己和他人的经历； 能读懂描写著名人物的文章；能熟练运用一般过去时态的句子写出介绍自己和他人的文章。 德育目标：通过了解名人的个人经历，学习他们积极努力地奋斗精神，同时要鼓励学生从现在开始努力学习，为实现自己的人生目标奠定基础。 学情分析：根据我班学生的实际情况，学生的学习基础和能力都有差异，所以在教授本单元时要考虑到照顾各个层次的学生，由易到难，层层推进。其次，从本单元的语言目标来看，在七年级下册和本册八单元已经初步学习了一般过去时态的单词和句型，所以这为新知识的学习奠定了基础。本单元将更加系统地学习动词过去式的变化和特殊疑问句的运用，并结合著名人物的人生经历，达到对学生的人生激励。 教学方法设计：本单元将采用情景教学法，交际法和任务型教学，并以多媒体辅助教 学。由于全班同学的英语水平的差异，我将采取分层次递进的教学方法。 并运用各种途径为学生创设有利情景并配以各种任务，激发他们学习的兴趣，提高有效运用语言的能力。 教学课时：本单元设计四个课时。 The First Period(SectionA 1a -1c) I.Teaching Aims: Learn to talk about famous people.
