4/22/2004 8.1 New Features July 30, 1999 DesignModeler - Beam Modeling ANSYS 8.1 Workshop 1 Purpose Build a beam and surface model in DesignModeler then define and orient the beam cross sections. The structure is a 15mm thick steel drum reinforced with six stiffeners fabricated from T sections. Goal Create the drum structure shown at right by first creating the surface body then adding six line bodies and assigning beam cross sections.
