AbstractTheboomingdomesticintelligenttransportationsystems,vehiclepositioningtechnologyhasreceivedwidespreadattention.Thisthesisstudythevehiclelocationbyutraltightcouplingtechniqueofglobalpositioningsystem(GPS)andinertialmeasurementunit(IMU).Majorproblemsareincludedasfollows:First,thereishighcostinacompletesetofIMU,whichdoesnotapplytovehicleloaction;Secondly,westudyVDCaPvectortrackingalgorithmofutraltightcoupledtechnique,thecarriertrackingloopwhichacascadedphaselockloop(CaPLL)cannotprovideareliabledopplermeasurements,thelargedopplererrordegradedsystemperformance.whentheloopisunlock;Finally,int
