This paper introduces the preliminary design and production process design of a 80000 spindles cotton joint factory (air-jet looms). One variety of piece goods is pure cotton ordinary combing （32×32×405.5×228×160）khaki;The other variety of piece goods is the combing JT/C (65/35) （13×13×523.5×283×160）poplin; Another goods is ordinary combing [（10×2）×（10×2）×267.5×236×160]cotton muslin.This is under the guidance of the teacher’s first attempt to design.It includes the choosing of the site, the arrangement of all floor plain ,the fitting of machines , and their parameters,
