AbstractWiththecontinuousdevelopmentofscienceandtechnology,theluminescentmaterialsrareearthionsdopingin,havebeenwidelyappliedtolaserdevice,3-Ddisplay,holographicstorageandfluorescencelabeling,becauseofthematerialscanownupconversionluminescenceperformance.Therefore,itisveryimportantfortherealizationoftheshortwavelengthlaseroutput,thestudyofrareearthionsdopedmaterialisurgentlyneeded.LiNbO3andLiTaO3crystalshavegoodpiezoelectric,ferroelectric,nonlinearopticsandacousto-opticperformance,therefore,theymadelargecontributionstonationaldefenseandnationaleconomicconstruction.Sofar,thestudyaboutthesolidsolutionofLiNbO3andLiTaO3isless,LiNb1-xTaxO3dopingrareearthisanewfashionedluminescentmaterial.Thisarticleiswanttostudytheluminescenceandferroelectricperformancesviadopingrareearth.LiNb1-xTaxO3:Er3+/Yb3+ceramicsweresynthesizedviahightemperaturesolidstatemethod,selectedLiNb0.3Ta0.7O3asthematerialofourexperimentbytheupconversionluminescencetest,whileXis0.7.Thehostmaterialwassynthetizedunder900℃,andtheceramicwassinteredunder1250℃for6h.TheXRDresultsshowedtherewasnoeffectonthedopantionsinthecrystallatticeofLiNb0.3Ta0.7O3.Undertheexcitationof980nm,theupconversionluminescenceperformanceoftherare-earthdopeddifferentLiNb0.3Ta0.7O3ceramicswereinvestigated.TheupconversionluminescencespectraoftheLiNb0.3Ta0.7O3:Er3+/Yb3+ceramicshavetwoobviousemissionpeaksat550nmand660nm,theupconversionluminescenceisfromthe4F9/2→4I15/2and2H11/2/4S3/2→4I15/2transitingofEr3+,andthepowercurveshowedtheupconversionluminescenceprocessesarealltwophotonsprocesses,andmoreovertheexperimenttestedtheluminescencedecaycurveofthesesamples,thenanalysedthefluorescencelifetimeofupconversionluminescenceenergylevel,aboveallfurtherstudiedthemechanismofupconversion.Moreover,theoccupiedsituationsofdopingrareearthionswereanalysedviaultraviolet-visibleabsorptionspectra.ThedopingEr3+ionsLiNb0.3Ta0.7O3ceramicsweretestedonhysteresisloops,whenthesinteringtemperaturewas1300℃,thentheremanentpolarizationwasthemoremaximumvalue,andtheshapeofhys
