CorrelationbetweenVEGF,Ki67andtumor-associatedmacrophagesininvasiveductalbreastcarcinomaAbstract:bjective:Theaimofthisstudywastodefinevascularendothelialgrowthfactor(VEGF),cellproliferationmarker(Ki67)expression,andtumorassociatedmacrophages(TAMs)ininvasiveductalbreastcarcinomanototherwisespecified(NOS),investigateapossiblerelationshipbetweenthemandtheirclinicalsignificance.Methods:Therewere64casesofinvasiveductalcarcinomawhichcontained39caseswerewithaxillarylymphnodemetastasis,andthemetastasislymphnodenumberwasbetween1-11,and15casesofadenosisofbreastCollectedfromwestChinahospital,sichuanuniversitybetween2010-2011.AccordingtotheWHOnucleusclassification,thedifferentiationofthecasescontained12casesofgradeI,23casesofgradeII,and29casesofgradeIII.UsingEnvisionimmunohistochemicalanalysetheVEGF,Ki67expressionandTAMslevelin64casesofinvasiveductalbreastcarcinomaand15casesofadenosisofbreast.Results:TherewereTAMsinbothinvasiveductalbreastcarcinomatissuesandadenosisofbreasttissues,andinterstitialinfiltrateswereobviouslywiththetumourcellscytoplasmdyedbuffy.TherewasalsoasmallamountofperitumordistributionTAMsshowedirregularshapeorpleomorphism,mostshowedovoidorfusiform,large,abundantofcytoplasm,wecansawmulticorewithmacrophages’multiplenuclearfusionoccasionally.Furthermore,TAMsinfiltrationininvasiveductalbreastcarcinomatissuesweresignificantmorethanwhichinadenosisofbreasttissues(P0.01).VEGFexpressedinbreastcancercellswithcytoplasmicbuffystained,butnotexpressedinadenosisofbreastbasicly.Ki67expressedinbreastcancercellswithnucleusdyedbuffy,butnotexpressedinadenosisofbreastbasicly.Comparedtotheadenosisofbreasttissues,TAMs,VEGFandKi67werehighlyexpressedinbreastcancertissues,withstatisticallysignificantdifference(P0.01).TAMscountingroupage50yearsoldwassignificantlyhigherthaningroupaged≥50yearsold,anddifferencehadstatisticalsignificance(P0.05);TAMscountinPRnegativegroupwassignificantlyhigherthaninPRpositivegroup(P0.05);TAMscountinHER2positivegroupwassignificantlyhigherthaninHER2negativegro
