ABSTRACTThe“EnglishCurriculumStandard”presentsthatcomputersandnetworkresourcesshouldbefullyutilizedinteaching.AsoneoftheimportantcoursetypesinEnglishteaching,Englishreadingteachingplaysanimportantroleinmeasuringteachingqualityandeffects.Atpresent,agreatnumberofproblemsexistinhighschoolEnglishreadingteaching:theteachingmethodsareoutmoded;studentslearnwithoutinitiatives;teachersmainlyfocusongrammar,languagepointsandignorethecultivationofstudents’readingskillsandstrategies,etc.ComparedwiththetraditionalEnglishreadingteachingclasses,theteachingmethodsinthosenetwork-resources-assistedonesismuchmoreabundant.WiththehelpofmultimediaandtheInternet,Englishreadingteachingcontainsmoreteachingcontents,stimulatesthestudentsmorevisually,andcaresformoreindividualrequirementsfromstudents.AstotheresearchontheapplicationofnetworkresourcesinEnglishteaching,eventhereadingteaching,mostdomesticresearchersconcentrateonthedevelopedareas.Fewrelatedresearchescovertheareasthatarelessdevelopedandinlowteachingquality.Accordingly,onthebasisofreadingagreatdealofrelevantliterature,theauthorchose300studentsand30teachersfromFulingNo.5MiddleSchoolandFulingExperimentalMiddleSchoolastheresearchobjects.Firstly,inordertoknowthehighschoolteachersandstudents’commentsonnetwork-resources-assistedreadingteaching,theauthordidtheinterviewandquestionnaireinvestigationstowardstheresearchobjectsfrombothschools.Then,theauthorhadtheteachingexperimentbetweenClass9and12,Grade10,FulingNo.5MiddleSchool,aimingtoobtainsomenewinformationabouttheapplicationofnetworkresourcesinreadingteachinginthelessdevelopedarea.Class12,whichexperiencedthenetwork-resources-assistedreadingteaching—applyingtotheteachingBlogmadebytheauthor,wastreatedastheexperimentalclass;whileClass9,thecontrolledclass,wasgiventraditionalteaching.Inthebeginning,theauthorhadapre-questionnaireandapte-testtoknowthestudents’generalopinionsontheteachingexperimentandtheirreadingproficiencybeforeit.Intheend,theauthorhadapost-questionnairewiththesamecontentandapost-te
