AbstractThe demographic structure of China has been changed due to advanced medical science and well formulated social welfare system. The old people over 65 years of age will be 200 million in 2014, and 300 million in 2026. The aged would become one of the main consuming forces in the near future.China, which has the most population in the world, also has the most aging population in the world. Since the presenting research more focused on the residential sides, this study try to find out better tour packages for elder aged to enable the traveling industry could work out proper and right tours through the review of elder consumer behavior. This study adopted E-K-B Consumer Behavior Model as conceptual framework. Through questionnaire survey method, Wuhan’s elder was conducted as respondents to overview their consuming practices. This research found that the elder’s traveling motives were to relax and relieve pressure, visit spots with natural scenery, and see novel things. Their main information resources were came from relatives and friends, newspapers, magazines, and television reports. In assessment of a travel tour, they were emphasized on the service quality of travel agencies, followed by their reputation, and comfortable accommodation. Based on the above results, this study suggested that travel industry should coordinate with media, promote via internet and websites. And, strengthen their customer relation management to build up brands and offer considerate services to meet the consumer needs. After the end of the trip, you can take advantage of the questionnaire, the network questionnaire or phone to get the feedback of the elderly, and customer management system to manage and analyze the characteristics of the elderly and consumer behavior, in order to enhance the reputation of the tourism industry to create word of mouth the opportunity to also increase tourism enterprises and other enterprises income, and create a win-win situation.Key words: The Elder,
