最后一般来说，英语专业三年级学生的每类语言学习信念与他们的英语成绩都相关,英语专业一年级学生除了关于语言能力和语言学习本质的观念无相关性外，几乎所有类别的语言学习观念都与他们的英语成绩相关。本文最后还论述了本研究的一些教育启示，也指出了所存在不足之处，并为后续研究提出了参考建议。关键词：语言学习观念；英语专业学生；差异性；相关性AbstractSincethe1970s,thefocusofforeignlanguageteachingresearchesgraduallyhasshiftedfromtheteacherstolearners,andthenlearnersindividualdifferenceshavebecometheresearchfocus.Withthedevelopmentofcognitivepsychology,learningbeliefshavebeenintroducedintotheforeignlanguageteachingresearchandbecameanimportantcomponentoftheresearchoflearners’differences.Asanessentialfactorinfluencinglearnerslearningbehaviorsandstudyresults,theimportanceoflearnerslearningbeliefhasbeenfullyaffirmedinsecondlanguageandforeignlanguageteaching.Researchersabroadhavedonekindsofresearchesonlearnerslanguagelearningbeliefsfromdifferentangles,whileinChina,relativeresearchesonEnglishlearners’learningbeliefsstartlaterandarefewer.Moreover,domesticresearchesonEnglishmajorslearningbeliefsarelimited.Therefore,onthebasisofthepreviousstudiesonlanguagelearningbeliefs,thepresentstudyinvestigatesthelanguagelearningbeliefsheldbyEnglishmajorstudentsthroughthequantitativeandqualitativeanalysis.Themajorinstrumentisquestionnaireandinterviewsareadoptedasafurthersupplement.Thesubjectsinvolvedinthisstudyare255Englishmajorstudents,whoarejuniorlearnersandfreshmanlearnersfromGuangxiTeachers’University.Thepresentstudyintendstoanswerthefollowingthreequestions:WhatareLanguagelearningbeliefsheldbyEnglishmajors?WhatarethedifferencesinlanguagelearningbeliefsbetweenfreshmenandseniorsfromEnglishmajors?WhatistherelationshipbetweenlanguagelearningbeliefsandtheirEnglishachievementsforbothfreshmenandseniorsfromEnglishmajors?AllthedataareanalyzedbySPSS16.0.Accordingtointerviewresultsandtheanalysesofthedata,somemajorfindingsofthepresentstudyarefoundasfollows:Firstly,generallyspeaking,mostofEnglishmajorstudentsholdpositivelanguagelearningbeliefs.Theybelieveself-managementbeliefsareveryimportantforsuccessfulEnglishlearning.Theyholdstrongself-efficacybeliefsandmotivationbeliefs
