一、定语从句的概念 　　在复合句中，修饰某一名词或代词的从句叫定语从句。被修饰的名词或代词叫先行词，定语从句一般放在先行词的后面(后置定语)，引导定语从句的词被称为关系词。 二、定语从句的关系词 引导定语从句的关系词分为关系代词和关系副词 关系代词：that， which， who，whom，whose（在定语从句中作主语，宾语，表语，定语） 关系副词：where， when， why （在定语从句中作状语） 关系词的作用： ①引导从句, 连接主句和从句 ②在从句中充当句子成分 三、关系代词的用法 1. that既可以用于指人，也可以用于指物。在从句中作主语或宾语，作主语时不可省略，作宾语可省略。 There are many famous predictions that never come true.（that作主语） The man （that） you saw yesterday is my neighbour. （that作saw的宾语） 　　 3. who， whom用于指人，who 用作主语或宾语，whom只用作宾语。在口语中，有时可用who代替whom， 也可省略。 People who are too stressed out and angry may have too much yang. （who作主语） She knows the nurse (who/whom) we met yesterday. （who/whom作met 的宾语,可省略） The girl (who/whom) I talked with yesterday is my best friend Jenny. 4. whose既可指人也可指物，在从句中作定语，表示whose与其后的名词为所属关系。 1.
