Validation of financial information is mainly guaranteed by a complete, proper and effective internal control system. Thus, the establishment of a proper internal control system is significant to the management of the company, investors, creditors and other stakeholders. After review of relevant materials, this thesis systematically summarizes the concept of five elements of internal control including control environment, risk assessment, control activities, information and communication and monitoring. Then combining the concept with the analysis of the internal control system problems and causes within China listed companies, the end of the thesis gives corresponding recommendations.
