Non-functional properties are divided onto Quality of Service (QoS) and context. Although there are many approaches considering QoS or context during service discovery and selection, there is a lack of a system taking both non-functional categories into account. In this paper we will introduce ConQo, our approach for a Qos- and context-aware service discovery and selection. KEYWORDS Semantic web services, service discovery, Quality of Services (QoS), context INTRODUCTION In order to find services fulfilling the client’s needs, a discovery is needed. The discovery looks for appropriate service by comparing the client’s requirements with the descriptions of available services. A web service description consists of functional and non-functional properties. Functional properties describe the service’s behaviour as well as all information necessary to use the service. Such information are e.g. the technical interface and the address of the service. Based on the functional description the discovery performs the matching. The matching filters those services providing the functionality, the client has requested for. The non-functional properties provide further details of the service. They consist of Quality of Service (QoS) and context. The QoS refers to how good a service performs its behaviour. The most important criteria are response time, availability and cost. Context information is based on the results of the service’s behaviour. Such criteria are e.g. the price of the hotel booked by a hotel reservation service. Instead of the QoS a
