Teaching preparation: pictures Teaching aids: audiotape, flashcards, pictures Teaching type: new lesson Teaching procedures: Step 1. Come to “THINK ABOUT IT” ◆ What’s your favorite animal? Why? ◆ Do you have a pet? What is its name? ◆ What kind of pets would you like to have? Step 2. Listen to the tape and answer the following questions: Step 3. Read the text and check the answers. Then read the text again. Play the tape again and let the students read after it. Play the tape for several times until they can read it correctly and fluently. Step 4.
