Peter Stone was born in Los Angeles in 1930 in to the Hollywood film world. His father was a movie producer and screenwriter. Stone wrote a number of scripts for film and won an Oscar for “Father Goose”. Sherman Edwards is a New Yorker, born in 1919. During World War II, he served in the Air Force and after the war he taught history in high school. He also pursued another career as songwriter and occasional actor.
