材料科学及加工自动化系 Department of Materials Science Processing Automation 简介 材料科学及加工自动化系的前身是天津大学焊接教研室。天津大学焊接专业创建于1952年，是国内最早建立的焊接学科之一，是国家首批硕士、博士学位授权单位和天津市首批重点学科；并设有材料科学与工程一级学科博士后流动工作站。1999年原隶属于天津大学机械学院的焊接专业，因学科建设需要转入材料科学与工程学院，并更名为材料科学及加工自动化系，同时成立焊接工程技术研究所。目前本科与研究生招生专业分别为材料成型及控制工程与材料加工工程；每年招收本科生近60人、硕士研究生40人、博士生研究生15人，是我国材料加工工程领域高级人才培养的重要基地。 目前本学科形成了以高温电子材料与封装、连接成形理论与新型连接材料、高效焊接技术与焊接自动化、焊接工程结构延寿理论与安全评价、材料表面高能加工理论与技术为特色研究方向的综合性学科，其学术、科研水平和研究成果在国内高校处于领先地位。2001年材料加工工程学科被批准为国家重点学科；2008年本学科被天津市科委批准建立天津市先进连接技术重点实验室。 Brief introduction The Department of Materials Science Processing Automation is developed from the original Welding Department of Tianjin University. The Welding Department was founded in 1952, which was one of the earliest welding science departments established in China. It was one of the earliest units granted for master and doctoral degree by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the key subject firstly approved by Tianjin Government. It was also the earliest units to recruit the post-doctoral researchers. In 1999 the welding department originally belonged to the Mechanical School of Tianjin University was merged into the School of Materials Science Engineering, and with the name changed into the Department of Materials Science Processing Automation, and meanwhile established the Research Institute of Welding Engineering Technology. At present the major enrollments of department for university students and postgraduates are “Materials Forming Controlling Engineering” and “Materials Processing Engineering” respectively, and recruiting approximately 60 students for bachelor’s degree, more than 40 postgraduates for master degree and 15 postgraduates for doctoral degree in each year. It is one of the important units in China to cultivate the advanced talents in the field of materials processing engineering.
