EQP 1005 QP 1005Issue Number 2 Effective Date:ASC Procedure Page 1 of 810 Approved By: ASC Procedure 1.0 PURPOSE 1.1 To provide instructions for periodic evaluations of in-house sealants and sealant-related products. 2.0 SCOPE 2.1 This procedure applies to in-house sealants as well as primers, adhesion promoters, urethanes, and CDP products. 2.2 This procedure does not apply to coatings or coating-related products (see QP 1007). 2.3 This procedure does not apply to the extension of shelf life for product at the customer/government (see QP 1006). 2.4 This procedure does not apply to the extension of shelf life for finished goods at the ASC. Requests for such extensions are submitted to the PRC Manufacturing Site, which evaluates them on a case-by-case basis. 2.5 This internal procedure does not apply if overridden by a customer specification. DEFINITIONS Date of Packaging (DOP) – The date finished material is assembled from its component (base compound and curing agent) into a packaged and labeled kit or unit by the manufacturer or re-packager. Date of Manufacture (DOM) – The date the COMBO (Base and Accelerator) was approved for full conformance (acceptance) testing. Note: Additional testing requests after the initial testing has been completed (i.e. ISKU, then new spec), will NOT change the original DOM of the material. Bulk Sealant – Material received from the PPG Aerospace Manufacturing site with the intention of repackaging, generally supplied in 55-gallon drums or 5-gallon pails,
