本课的重点是理解will的有两种含义。一种是表示将来时;另一种是在Will you help me ?这句话中will表示一种意愿,表示征求别人的意见,寻问别人的建议。这也是本课学习的难点。

课前准备
Step 1 Warming up
Free talk between the teacher and the students.
Step 2 Revision
Review nine phrases in order to help the students to talk about the activities freely.
Step 3 Presentation and practice
Let the child help the teacher put the topic on the blackboard. Then elicit the sentence “Will you help me ?” and “Yes, I will. ” Then write the key sentence “Will you help me ?” on the blackboard.
Use the sentence Yes, I will to elicit the sentence Of course,I will.
Ask and answer in pairs. Then check.
Talk about Daming and his cousin , then present a question What present will Daming take?. Guide the students to listen to the text and underline the answer.
Present a question Why not chopsticks? , let the students read the first paragraph carefully.
Elicit the key sentence “I think I’ll make a Chinese kite.”. Write this key sentence on the blackboard and follow the CD-ROM to repeat it. Make the students to talk about their activities at the weekends using “I think I’ll…….”.
Present a question Will Simon love this kite? ,let the students read the last paragraph carefully.
Show another picture from the text and guide the students to evaluate the girl of the text.
8. Listen, find and circle “will”. Then show the five sentences with “will”, then remind the students to pay attention to the different meanings of搘ill.
9.Listen and repeat this dialogue. Try to imitate the pronunciation.
rStep 4 Consolidation and extension
1. Do some written exercises (P30) on activity books and check the answers.
2. Talk about pictures from the students books. Present two demonstrations for the students. Then the students talk about them in pairs using揥ill you ….??“Yes, I will. /No, I won’t.”
