How Should College Students Develop an Environmentally Friendly Lifestyle 【Abstract】(BEIJING, June 1st, 2007) -- The head of the State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA) of China today unveiled the countrys theme for this years World Environment Day -- Less Emission of Pollutants and the Environment-Friendly Society [1]. And the 2010 World Expo was held in Shanghai. Shanghai Expo theme is Better City, Better Life. 【Key Words】Environmentally-Friendly Reduction Low-carbon life Environment-Friendly Society encourages people to minimize energy use and greenhouse gas emissions, especially the emission of carbon dioxide which scientists say is a major cause of global warming. In other words, we are encouraged to leave less carbon footprint in our daily life. When you drive a car, the engine burns fuel which creates a certain amount of carbon dioxide. Even if you heat your house with electricity, the generation of the electrical power may also have emitted a certain amount of carbon dioxide. Everybody has to share the responsibility to tackle climate change. This is especially important for the modern college students, some changes in their life can make a big difference to the environment. This movement has greatly changed the way of our college students’ lifestyle and makes us gradually towards the Environmentally Friendly Lifestyle.
