It also put forward some methods to solve problems and improve the situation of human rights in China. 【Key Words】Human Rights; Advantages; Protection; Defect; Improvements Introduction The issue of human rights has become one of the most significance and common concern in the world community. The series of declarations and conventions which were adopted by the United Nations have won the support and respect of many countries. The Chinese government has also highly appraised the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. However, the revolution of the situation in regard to human rights is circumscribed by the historical, social, economic and cultural conditions of many nations, and involves a progress of historical development. Owing to tremendous differences historical background, social system, cultural tradition and economic development, countries differ from their understanding and practice of human rights. The Chinese people have derived their own viewpoints on the human rights issue and formulated relevant laws and politics. It is stipulated in the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China that all power in the republic belongs to people. After 30 years of development, China is on a path of human rights development with Chinese characteristics. The characteristics and advantages of China’s human rights 2.1 Chinese human rights have three salient characteristics. 2.1.1Extensiveness It is not a minority of the people or a part of class or social stratum but the entire Chinese citizens who constitutes the subjects enjoying human rights.
