There has long been a heated discussion about the using of traditional Chinese characters and simplified Chinese characters concerning which is the better option for public. Advocates of traditional characters say that the traditional forms are able to express the artistic qualities of Chinese characters owing to the original radicals. Besides that, some people hold that the traditional characters are capable of tightening up emotional bonds to ethnic Chinese, because the traditional characters are widely used among HK, Taiwan and overseas residence of Chinese. However, some others believe that the simplified characters have great contributions nowadays. In their opinion, Chinese-characters is a carrier to express information, so the simpler the characters are, the more convenient they will be. Especially in mainland China, when it comes to the popularization of Chinese characters for nearly 1.4 billion populations, undoubtedly, the simplified one does work. As for me, I tend to believe that the traditional one is a good choice. The design of Chinese characters reflected our ancestors#39; understanding of the universe and history, and these characters are easy to read.
