Methods Using self- made markers,2 mm∀ 2 mm, 20 markers were put into a capsule.42 patients with functicnal dypepsia( F ) ,50 patients with chronic functional constipation(CFC) and 20 healthy controls were included in the study. Each subjects ingested a capsule together with standard food and plain abdominal films were made after 4 h,48 h and 72 h.Gastric emptying rate at thefourth hour,gastrointestinal emptying rate at 48 h and 72 h and emptying index at 72 h were calculated. Results 66.6%(28/ 42) F patients had delayed gastric emptying rate. Gas trointestinal emptying rate at 48 h and 72 h were lower in CFC patients than in controls ( 0. 01,respectively) . According to emptying index,64%( 32/50)CFC patients belonged to slow transit constipation.Conclusion Radiopaque markers method is simple and closing to physiological condition.
