全程学习方略:Module5《ALesseninaLab》(外研版必修1)SDZY.ppt

* Physics , biology and chemistry we are studying at school are all science subjects. We have done many experiments in a lab successfully. When we are in the lab , there are some instructions: Change shoes before you go into the lab; follow your teacher’s instructions; turn off the electricity before you leave; don’t touch anything unless your teacher tells you to. There must be many interesting things that happened in the lab. Would you like to tell us some? 【参考答案】The teacher brought out three bottles. One was filled with petrol , one with castor oil and one with vinegar. He mixed the three together. After that , he dipped one of his fingers into the cup. After a few seconds he took his finger out. He put a finger in his mouth , tasted it and smiled. Then he handed the cup around the class of students. Each of us made a face after we sucked the finger. The mixture tasted terrible. Later we knew the finger our teacher put into his mouth was not the one he had dipped into the cup. ) 鸡蛋的外壳是比较硬的 , 但是我们可以让它变得又软又薄 , 你知道怎样做吗? 下面这个实验将向我们展示这一奇妙的过程。 An experiment—egg shell becomes soft What you need: An egg A cup of vinegar1 A clear glass Directions: Pour a cup of vinegar into the glass. Add the egg. Record what you see. (bubbles2 rising from the egg) Leave the egg in the vinegar for one day. Take the egg out and feel it. Record what you see. (the egg shell will be soft) What happens: Eggs contain something called calcium carbonate (碳酸钙) . This is what makes them hard. Vinegar is an acid (酸) . When calcium carbonate (the egg) and the acid (the vinegar) come together , a chemical reaction3 takes place and carbon dioxide4 (a gas) is released5. This is what the bubbles are made of. The chemical reaction keeps happening until all of the carbon in the egg is used up-it takes about a day. When you take the egg out of the vinegar it’s soft because all of the carbon goes out of the egg in those little bubbles. Now try this: Le
