A global satellite positioning system (GPS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) for the background, integration of existing GSM (mobile public network) – based communications platform, research and develop of a set monitoring, management, network scheduling functions into one control terminal. The system can be used to achieve the GSM/GPRS coverage of all mobile targets (such as vehicles) the dynamic monitoring and management. The text discusses the on-board GPS navigation and related technology,the theoretical foundation, including the principles of GPS and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). A detailed description of the on-board GPS navigation plays an important role in the electronic navigation maps expression.
