Abstract: T he electronic sphygmomanometer overcame t he shortcomings of mercury sphygmomanometer such as specialized operation,
not easy to carry and so on, presenting a home use tendency. In view of the disadvant ages of tradit ional MCU designs that the circuit is
complex, the accuracy and st ability performance is poor, this paper put forw ard a design method based on oscillometer method, using
LM3S1138 as the main controller, pressure-sensor M PXV5050GP w ith signal processing ability as signal collecting equipment. Experi-
mental results indicate that the the measuring speed of the sphygmomanometer is fast, the device is st able, and t hat the result is similar
to that of the Riva-Rocci sphygmomanometer, showing value in practical use.
