Essentially, the former is a prerequisite for the latter, rather than vise versa. As this realm of study is generally viewed a sophisticated one, it is rarely touched up by the mass. As a result, bad lighting designs can be found in the environment around us easily. As they are not appear as problematic to the public, they deserve revelation from the professionals’ eyes 。For this sake, this study conducted field documentary and data collection as to postulate the factors pertain to bad lighting designs. It is found, that bad lighting cases are attributed to a collection of variables including up and down lighting patterns, luminous efficiencies, average illuminance, lighting power density, glare ratings and so. One of the most challenging problems to most of the designers and consumers, is the validity of luminous parameters provided by the luminaire manufacturers. They tend to be unreliable. Collectively, there are numerous bad lighting cases, namely, the use of outdated light sources, energy wasting light sources, incorrect mounting height, low coefficient of utilization, unacceptable unified glare rating arrangement, and the last but not the least, it is obvious
