Scorpius(天蝎座) Scorpius is one of the constellations of the zodiac(黄道十二星座). It lies between Libra(天秤座) to the west and Sagittarius（人马座） to the east. Antares is approximately 600?light-years (180?pc) from our solar system. Its visual luminosity（绝对光度） is about 10,000 times that of the Sun.The mass of the star is calculated to be 15 to 18 solar masses.
